Class 2 A-An

1 comment:

  1. A and an are indefinite articles used before nouns to indicate singularity and non specificity. A precedes words beginning with a consonant sound, while an precedes words starting with a vowel sound. For example, a dog and an apple. This distinction helps with pronunciation and flow in speech. However, it's based on the sound of the following word rather than its spelling. An hour is correct because hour begins with a vowel sound, despite starting with a consonant letter. These articles aid in clarity and fluency in English communication.
